5 Tips for Running a Pre-Order Sale on Shopify

Pre-Order sales have regularly shown to be a wonderful way to increase order volume and product interest over time when combined with an efficient marketing approach. Here are a few things to consider or keep in mind when you prepare your Pre-Order sales campaign.  

1. Clearly state the terms of the Pre-Order.

  Set explicit terms for your pre-orders from the start to guarantee that your customers know exactly what to expect when they buy. The release and shipment dates, for example, should be clearly specified on your product sites. In addition, any special Pre-Order terms or conditions should be noted or linked to.   Setting client expectations can help you avoid/minimize time spent answering customer queries, as well as enhance buyer confidence when making a transaction. 5. Study from the best in your field.

  Consider the dominant brand in your sector or area, and what their most recent successful product was. Consider the following if they offered a pre-order: When did they announce the pre-order? How soon after the release? On which marketing channels did they concentrate their efforts? What kind of deals did they throw in with the pre-order?   Customers can have differing behaviours across industries and niches, by analyzing what your competitors are doing and finding ways you can improve on them is a great strategy to help your sale campaign succeed before it’s even started.
